About BondyWeb

Last updated on 31 Jan. 2020

The BondyWeb website is owned and maintained by Tim Bondy of Mountain Home, Idaho, USA. To get straight to the point, this blog is mainly about southwestern Idaho outdoor adventures. I’m an avid mountain biker, hiker, fisher of trout streams and backcountry explorer. A vast majority of my posts will be about what I see and experience while wandering this part of the world.

About Tim: I am a 50-something freelance writer who enjoys mountain biking, hiking, rockhounding, and fishing. Because I live and work in Elmore County, it’s difficult to separate local government/politics from my outdoor passions. I try, unsuccessfully, to avoid going political as many outdoor issues delve into the fringes of government and partisan politics. In my opinion, they can’t and shouldn’t be separated.

Public Lands/Hot Button Issue: I am a public lands advocate. A cheerleader of sorts, really. While I respect private property more than most people in this state, I believe our nation’s public property makes the USA unique and awesome. If you believe the federal government shouldn’t manage/own land in Idaho (or the western USA), we have nothing to talk about, period, end of story. Seriously. Hot button issue enough for you?

Photography: While exploring the backcountry of southwestern Idaho, I tend to take a lot of photographs to memorialize my adventures on this and other websites. A vast majority of the graphics and pictures on this website were taken by me or family members. They are yours to enjoy but not to use or reuse. Ask for permission before using stories, ideas, concepts, and graphics presented on the bondyweb.com domain.

Questions and Answers: If you have questions about my backcountry posts and adventures, I’ll be glad to discuss them with you. Past experience has shown, however, leading sportsmen to the places I have visited is a zero-sum game for me. I will no longer waste my time passing on information, except what is written on this site, to potential adventurers as that courtesy is rarely returned. Sorry, not sorry.

All information, posts, and pages on this site are based upon my observations and opinion. You’re free to disagree. You are also free to enjoy the information or hate on it. Let me know either way.~ Tim Bondy on January 31, 2019

History of the Bondy Web Website

The BondyWeb, was first created 2008 and around 2013, the Joomla platform that the entire site was sitting upon just went wonky. In 2014, we tried to fix the darn website but we were unsuccessful. Shortly after that the computer the website was located on was upgraded and that completely broke BondyWeb.Com for good.

or … did it?

Nope, I figured out a way to convert the site to a modern platform without breaking a whole bunch of posts. And so, as of January 14, 2019, the website is up and running. Yes, there are a lot of posts from 2013 and earlier. Be patient and check back every once in a while. I plan to be posting at least once a week until the day I die. No promises, however.
