While I knew I couldn’t legally fish, I decided to let my talented Plott Hound “Addie” have a go at all those trout in the South Fork. As it turned out, Addie cannot swim and only ventured into the river a few times on this walk. And considering she cannot get within 10 feet of birds in the brush, the South Fork Trout will be safe (likely forever).
What the Heck Are These Plants
While walking along the South Fork of the Boise River Road, I spotted these plants. They seem to only grow in a very moist/wet environment but look like something more suitable to the jungles of South America.
In reality, I got kind of excited when I saw them as I thought they were “wild asparagus”. But after further examination I decided against the human edible delights and started thinking more towards the “bamboo” family of plants.
What’s your guess?
Thanks,
