What does fishing mean to local businesses

Fishing is big business but not just Cabela’s, REI or Big 5 Sporting Goods stores. Attracting fishermen to a city can increase business and in some cases attract big money. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game conducted a survey of about 26,000 fishermen in 2003. This survey determined that the average fisherman in Idaho spends about $150 a day.
