About Tim Bondy and the Bondyweb Website
(Updated May 22, 2010)

Toni and I have been living in Mountain Home, Idaho since late December 2007. The move from Sumter, South Carolina to Idaho in 2007 was absolutely one of the best things I have done in my life. While I have some heartburn with Mountain Home and Idaho, the good outweighs the bad by a ton. This is why I can say, I plan on living in Mountain Home until my last heartbeat.
What I Like About Mountain Home
It's a small town and the people are friendly. I doubt we will ever grow beyond the 20,000 population level and that is just fine with me. There are no traffic jams and the drivers, for the most part are courteous almost to a fault. If I need something, I can usually find it in a local store or shop and if not, I can head out to the big city (Boise) and buy what I need.
I have a love of the outdoors and Idaho provides all the things I want and need when it comes to outdoor activities. The location of Mountain Home makes it extremely easy to quickly get into the wilds of Idaho. A quick drive up Highway 20 puts you into the mountains within one hour. Heading south, you can be in the Owyhee Mountains and desert quite easily within 1.5 hours. What more can a grown 49 year old boy ask for.
Some of my favorite activities include trout fishing the many streams and rivers in southern Idaho. I also love hiking and exploring out of the way places close to home. In May 2009, I bought an ATV four-wheeler and this has really opened up some of the harder to get to places around here. I occasionally jump on my mountain bike and explore some of the more wild spots when I feel a motorize vehicle isn't appropriate. Rock hounding is taking up more and more of my time recently. I combine a hiking trip, ATV trip or mountain biking with rock hounding to double my enjoyment of Idaho. Winter is a tough season for me. I snow ski and have been to Bogus Basin and Soldier Mountain on a number of occasions but I may be getting a little too old for this rich mans sport. A wise person told me not long ago, I needed to “Start Living or Die” and Idaho has given me the opportunity to Start Living All Over Again.
My Political Ambitions
I have a fascination with local and state politics but the local aspects is what really gets my blood moving. So, YES, I will run for a local political office in the next 1-5 years. There will be a city and/or county council seat coming up for election during this time period.
My Business Ambitions
From what I have been told, running your own small business is extremely gratifying. Heaping all the titles like CEO, CFO and head window washer onto one person must take courage and dedication. Once that right idea comes along, I want to be ready to take on these titles and open up a business in Mountain Home. Until then, I can wade to the shallow end of the business pool by offering people in Idaho a web design option on a part time basis. Once I get my feet wet, you can be sure I’ll delve into at least one of the many ideas I keep in the back of my brain.

Just out of curiosity I typed your name into Google and yours was the first site I found. I can't believe you did a full term in the USAF- i did 4 and 2 in the army- it was enough. How has the web business gone? I teach computing in college now, but not in the USA. Take care. Jeremy
